Description

Her 8th birthday is when Eri met her innocence. It was raining and the piece was sitting under a tree, covered in mud from having just been uncovered. Once the young girl saw it, she moved from her spot, taking the flower with her. She took her own sleeve of the clothes on her back and ripped it to use the cloth to clean the innocence and to let it rest upon it. And from there, she admired her work before moving to sit down in the mud, in the rain, and she talked to the innocence. Spilling out her sorrows and problems to it, like it could listen and respond.

This is a picture of when Eri found her innocence outside of her village in the hills and mountains of Japan. I'm actually really proud with how this turned out, espcially the flowers you see in the front, which are:
Nightshade flower
Osmunda
Japanese Camilla
Himalyan Blue Poppy
Gardenia

The background was what i was most worried about. This was my tree, my first real background, so i can only hope that it turned out alright. And if you cannot tell, the tree is supposed to be a weeping willow.

and further into the details, Eri was a small sickly child, abused too. So i tried to show that by the lines on her face hands and legs, showing where the bone would be since she didn't eat much, and then right underneath the edges of her kimno would be a scratch and a bruise.

time taken: over a week

So, finally one over-due comment from me for this picture.

I agree with Chi, the flowers are gorgeous. I love how you used specific kinds of flowers and not just random blobs of leaves and petals. And it's nice you put the species in the explanation as well. I love your rose, it's really gourgeous.

Eri is looking so sad and relieved at the same time. <3 You got her expression down right, it's amazing.
This is one of your best, if not the best, pictures so far. You did amazing. <33
